THE
PURPOSE:
The
purpose of this week is to explore the Universe using computers
and the World Wide Web. You will be choosing a space topic of interest
to you and searching for information available on the Internet.
You will be learning to use a variety of programs on the computer
and the various ways to find information. You will combine all that
you learn about the topic of astronomy that you choose into a multimedia
presentation. This presentation will be shared with the Sights and
Sounds of Space Group on the last day of this technology adventure.
Then you will share this on Friday afternoon with all of the groups
and the parents.
YOUR
TASKS THIS WEEK WILL BE TO:
1.
Choose a topic of interest to research. There will be a list available
to help you. Topics in space are endless, so this list is just a
guide for you.
2.
Create a list of 10 good questions that you can focus on for you
research.
3.
Make daily entries into you journal which will be linked to the
web site that you create. These entries should reflect what information
you found in researching your project.
4. Create your presentation. This will include text, images, graphs,
video, audio, music, animations, demonstrations, etc.
5.
Present your project.
