Mythical Masks 2008

Day 1 - Marsi

Today was the first day of Mythical Masks of Creative Expression 2008.  Judging from the great brainstorming, this year’s theme of life on planet Earth 700 years from now, looks like it is going to be a very interesting one.  We have a lot to think about - what the people will be like; what their transportation mechanisms will be like; whether some of Earth’s inhabitants will have moved to a different planet, etc.

We broke out into groups of three and talked about what life will be like in the future. Each of the small groups looked at things from different viewpoints. One group theorized about the ocean levels. Another drew fish people.

After dinner, the entire Myth group worked on a wishing well constructed out of trash.  This time capsule of sorts will provide us with a place to put our wishes for the future.

We finished out the evening by establishng our blog and writing about our day’s experience.
