You are the last tree standing in the forest. What do you think? How do you feel?

I am the only tree left standing in the so called “forest”. All of the humans cut down my friends and family. I feel so alone that I dont know what to do. I feel like a tiny speck in the middle of a wasteland with no one there. I hurt all over from all the pollution that I have had to keep inside me. My family was shipped off to be made into paper for books. All of my friends are probably in the same place or being made into furniture. If I get cut down, I want to be made into a book by Shel Silverstein. Its called The Giving Tree. It’s about a child who loves a tree and then shares all its emotions with it. He brings only his most special people to the tree. Then he abandons it and the tree dies. Be he goes back to it anyways and loves it the same. I miss my family and friends. They are all dead now and in books. I wish I could see them just one more time; but I’m just a tree. No one cares about others, just themselves and that is why the people are living in a world being destroyed by global warming. They all have to join together,  but it will  never happen. At least not before I become a book.
