Mythical Masks 2009

Monday (2nd day)

Today, I started my day with a ear splitting alarm clock beeper (at 7:00am in the morning!!!). I jumped out of my bed that is about 3 feet off the ground and raced to stop it while running into Jess. Great wake up!

We went to breakfast at 8 and then to our first class where we had many writing prompts. We wrote about our first impressions of Mindflight and I wrote that it was amazing! I had so many fun things that we did so I had only positive things to write! Another writing prompt that we did was on superheros. We had to pick two and then choose who was better than the other and why. I chose Superman and Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman was my favorite.

We also played a name game. We had to go around in a circle and toss the ball to each other. Marsi started and said “My name is Marsi and I like monkeys.” and then she tossed it to Jess. Jess than had to say “My name is Jessica and I like jaguars and her name is Marsi and she likes monkeys.” It went on thought all 24 of us. Mine was, “My name is Molly and I like mongoose.” Isn’t that cool!

In the afternoon we had to come up with a really cool animal to have as our mascot for Myth. We decided on a wobbitter which is a cross between a wolf, rabbit, and a beaver. We chose those because they had to relate to myths and they all meant something cool so we mushed them together. It was fun and later this week we will have to sculpt out “wobbitter” out of something and make it our mascot! You’ll see it Friday!!!!

Still to come is the free time today where we will be  going to the pool and just hanging out and having a good time, dinne, more free time and then bed. I’ve been having a great time!
