Schedule for AP Biology 2003 - 2004

Welcome to AP Biology!

2003 Summer Assignment
Ecology Summer Assignment 2003

We have a tremendous amount of work ahead of us before May 2004! I hope you are all up for the challenge! To start us off I have attached your 2003 Summer Assignment. The assignment consists of two parts:

Part 1:
• Read Chapters 24 -28 in your text (Biology 4th Edition)
• I strongly suggest making yourself notes or an outline of each chapter and becoming familiar with the key terms (terms in bold) within each chapter.
• We will have an Ecology Unit Test very soon after your return to school!

Part 2:
• All students taking Advanced Placement Biology will be required to complete a multimedia project as their summer assignment. Students will choose from one of the biomes found on the Earth and create a presentation which will cover many aspects of a specific ecosystem within that biome. See next page for full details.
• Part 2 of this assignment is due by August 20, 2003!
• Your presentation must be saved to an appropriate electronic media and either hand delivered or mailed to my home (postmarked prior to midnight August 20, 2003).
o Address: 691 Profile Rd., Bethlehem, NH 03574
• Your presentation may also be emailed to me – but this is often a difficult route to take with PowerPoint presentations. If you email me I will confirm receipt with a reply. If you do not hear from me within 24 hours – assume I have not received your message!
