Plagiarism

Plagiarism is using someone else’s words or ideas as if they were your own. It is a form of dishonesty and must be avoided! To avoid plagiarism, you must give credit when you use:

  • Another person's ideas.
  • Any facts or statistics that aren't common knowledge.
  • Pictures that another person created.
  • Pictures downloaded from the Internet.
  • Quotations.
  • Paraphrases of another person's words, spoken or written.
