Sights & Sounds of Space
Students participating in the Sights and Sounds of Space will create a computerized planetarium show accompanied by a computer generated (MIDI*) musical soundtrack. This MindFlight theme integrates astronomy, music composition and computer technologies. Students will receive instruction on various topics in astronomy, training in how to use the resources of the PSU Planetarium and instruction on how to create computerized (MIDI) musical compositions. Students will also receive hands-on computer training to access additional astronomical information from the World-Wide-Web to be included in their planetarium shows and individual and group web pages.
